"I'm going to keep this review short..."

... as I haven't finished the game yet. From what I hear, you should make Hard Mode optional. Frozen Armor is broken; it needs to be nerfed, or at least make it so that minibosses and bosses aren't affected by it. So far, the game is pretty good. I'll do a more in-depth review once I've beaten it.

Taco-Man Game Master 3

"Loved it."

date: September 1, 2009

I really don't like Rina-Chan, but that doesn't detract from my enjoyment of this series. Part of the fun of "Taco-Man the Game Master" is seeing how aspects of the games featured (and video game laws in general) are played with. If I had to choose a favorite part of this episode, I would have to say it's the end, where Taco-Man simply says "Wait... what?!", reacting the same way any real person would to what happens.

All in all, very funny cartoon.

Space Wing

"This Has Potential."

submission: Space Wing

However, it has a few glaring flaws; but we'll get to that later.

Graphics - 10/10: Awesome. Everything is pleasant to look at, though the little EXP squares are funny-lookin.

Sound & Music - 9.5/10 & 8.5/10: The sounds are great. However, the music can get pretty repetitive... Even so, it's very good.

Controls - 9.5/10: Z and X are an odd choice... but it's still okay. However, the speed boost bonus makes controls somewhat... loose.

Gameplay - 8.5/10: This is part of the problem. You see, the level-up idea is nice and all, but you're pretty much doomed against the boss on level 3, and level 4 is ridiculous. The reason for this is TOO FEW STATUS POINTS. You start with 9; that's not enough to get what's actually needed - the Up HP bonus. You need 10 to get it, but you're one short. Too many of the status bonuses require 2 points to boost instead of just one.

Difficulty - 5/10: This is the biggest flaw in the game. Level 1 is pretty easy. Level 2 is slightly harder, but nothing you shouldn't be able to handle. Level 3 is stupid. Half-way through or so, the game changes from being a shooter to being of the Bullet Hell genre. Level 4 is even worse. Missiles that fly three times as fast as you do and if shot, explode into bullets that fly in all directions, every enemy fires bullets in all directions, and the highy extremely overpowered lasers everywhere, too.

The bosses are even more unbalanced. The first boss isn't too hard; the second one is pretty similar. The third and fourth release Bullet Hell and the overpowered lasers, so losing is pretty much a given. Also, I have not ONCE seen this alleged "Continue" option, so either it's a lie, or it's bugged.

Overall: In conclusion, try to make the game. Y'know. Less mind-numbingly difficult to the point that it's not fun.

Broken Wings

"This game..."

submission: Broken Wings
date: June 7, 2008

I.. I can't believe it. I actually love this game. My absolute ONLY gripe is the fact that you can't pause it. Well, that, and the fact that the little ball Fail-Safe is kind of useless. The black holish Fail-Safe, I don't completely understand how it works, but I'm guessing the way it heals you is by absorbing enemy projectiles.

Graphics - 10/10: This game is fantastic to look at (except for the Awards screen, but those are boring to look at in every game ever made, so that is moot). The weapon animations are good, especially the laser.

Sound - 10/10: The music doesn't grate on your nerves, and that's a huge plus. The songs perfectly suit the game to the point that you actually look forward to the next one. All the weapons have good sound effects except for the Machinegun, but I don't think it actually HAS a sound effect - not that I really care, as you probably couldn't hear it over all the exploding enemies anyway.

Gameplay 10/10: Basically, you go around and blow stuff up - pretty much everything that gets in your way. Enemy ships, these weird top-like enemies, these strange little spikey balls... everything that isn't a wall of some kind.

Controls 9.5/10: I've only felt a little upset with controls when it wouldn't use a Fail-Safe when I wanted, but I'll blame that on the fact that I had what I call the "Full-Weapon Assault" Fail-Safe active, which kind of slows down the game, but not enough to impede on playability.

Difficulty 9.5/10: It's pretty easy to pick up and learn, and that's a good thing. My only TRUE complaint is that frankly, it's too short. Six levels is okay and all, but what about eight? Or ten? Or twelve? Length is sort of an issue, but you can still enjoy the game regardless.

Overall - 10/10: Keep up the great work! I rarely give anything a perfect score, but this is definitely deserving! So here's a recap of what should be improved: length. Add more levels. Aside from that, this is perfect.

"Awesome."

date: January 27, 2008

I can't go in-depth as I haven't beaten it yet. I have but one question: HOW DO YOU KILL THE LEVEL 60 BOSS?! I keep trying, only to get killed! A lifebar would definitely help you know how close to death he is, as would knowing which weapon is the strongest. But my point remains - how does one go about blowing the Level 60 Boss to smithereens? All in all, an awesome game.

Nintendo Rpg (Finished)

"Bleh."

date: August 18, 2007

Okay first I'll start by saying that Megaman belongs to CAPCOM, not Nintendo. Now let's move on to the actual review.

Fun Factor: It's boring; everything lets you win. I played this three times (ugh) each time choosing different options. I never lost. You get a 0.

Sound: There was no sound. A big fat 0.

Music: Oh lord. There was ONE song, and it was boring, stupid, annoying and obnoxious. Another 0.

Difficulty: Everything was scripted so you'd win. What were you thinking? That takes out all the fun! Another 0.

Graphics: The graphics were okay, except for the ones you drew. Those were... meh. You get a 3.

Overall: 0.6

This game (if it can be called such) is greatly lacking. It MIGHT have some potential though. My advice is to make it so losing is possible add more music, possibly some sound effects, and use spell check before adding the text. There were a few typos and errors in the dialogue. Try better next time.

... I thought this video was hillarious. Bowser killed EVERYONE he went up against except those two cheap bastards, Roy and Marth. And that's only because they got a sneak-attack on 'im. Ness pulling an Akira was great, and I loved how Mewtwo was potrayed; as he really is - virtually invincible. If some kid playing God can't take Mewtwo down, what makes any of you losers think YOU can? Great vid overall.

"Nice vid."

I like how the Links were potrayed, as well as Vaati. My ONLY complaint is Zelda's voice. I HATE KAGOME, DAMNIT! She has THE most annoying voice... E-V-E-R! It was bad enough in Super Smash Flash and "Ignorance is Bliss", but it's even worse here! Despite that, I found this quite humorous.

Gorlog 2002

"I've played this before, so I played it again."

submission: Gorlog 2002
date: June 21, 2007

Been a while since I reviewed anything, so let's start with this. Gorlog 2002 is a pretty fun and addictive game. Many people complain that it's too hard. This is because they suck at this type of shooter.

Graphics: The graphics are smooth and pleasant to look at. The weapon attacks are also good and well-animated. If you've ever got the maxed out weapon, by which I mean the HUGE laser, you'll know what I'm talking about.

Style: The style suffers a bit, in that one shot (or collision) is all it takes to kill you. Granted this is how most shooters are, but when you're being swarmed by a thousand green energy balls and those meteor blob things, it's pretty frustrating, especially because you lose all your power-ups. Otherwise it's good here.

Sound: Now this is where the game suffers. The sound effects are okay, but the music is dull and monotonous. I actually always turn it off before I start playing, and listen to music from the Star Fox series instead.

Violence: I almost didn't want to rate violence, because it's a shooter and I felt it irrelevant (every shooter has violence). But seeing as just about EVERYTHING explodes, I had to rate it.

I won't rate it on interactivity or humor, as it's a game so interactivity is guaranteed, and since it's a shooter there won't be humor. So we'll just leave those as 0, and ignore the two categories completely. Overall, this game gets an 8.25 out of 10. Good job, but try to make it less difficult next time, and make the game longer. I've beaten this game, but it took a few tries.

Domo-Kun Angry Smashfest!

"Death Adder: I AM A CHEAP BOSS!"

date: October 6, 2006

I came across this game out of curiosity for what would be in the Power Puff Girls Parodies section. Domo-Kun's exact specie isn't really known, but he is a pop-culture icon in Japan, apparently having his own cartoon. That having been said, on to the review!

Graphics: Sprites are good in my eyes. I never really liked drawn movies, for some reason.

Style: Golden Axe was an okay game, and it was nice to see them in here. Or at least the dragon. The dragon is awesome.

Sound: Gets pretty annoying real quick for me. Try more variety?

Violence: You beat people with a stick, and they get lasers, maces, swords, and axes. Pretty sad when you're covered in armor and have giant weapons, and some mutant brownie thing comes up and beats the snot out of you with a TWIG.

Interactivity: Games don't get interactivity points. Because they're games. EVERYTHING is interactive.

Humor: Wasn't really that funny, sorry.

Gameplay: I felt some of the enemies were a bit.. cheap. The big red guys were difficult, but doable with the dragon. Death Adder, however... Bah. Cheapest thing I've seen in this game. He has two unavoidable attacks, the first being summoning a dragon that revives the Powerpuff Girls as zombies by breathing fire, and the second that he ALWAYS uses immediately after hitting you with his axe. He gives you pretty much no time to get close enough to beat on him before he smacks you aside with his axe, then nukes the entire field with explosions. That chicken there doesn't really help either. Yes, put it on the FAR RIGHT side of the screen, where Death Adder himself is! God. I'll admit I could easily make someone far more cheap, and with more health, but that's not the point. I have yet to even beat Death Adder. The farthest I got was when he summons the dragon a second time, making the zombie girls have a dark aura. Try to tone him down a bit.

Overall: I'll give it a 6, simply because of the way it is. The dragon boss is kind of hard, but once you figure out his patterns, he's pretty easy. The only thing making this game playable is your unlimited number of continues. Keep that feature, please.

In closing, I highly suggest making Death Adder (and anyone harder than him,) easier to harm, and less cheap. This isn't really my place to tell you what to do, but I'm giving you some help. TTFN, Ta-Ta For Now.
